Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG), the owner of "www.aiag.org", respects the privacy of its members and visitors and is strongly committed to protecting that privacy. In order to protect online privacy, AIAG has implemented the following policy.

This privacy policy describes what information AIAG will collect from its members, visitors and customers, and how we will use that information once it is collected. This policy does not apply to Web sites of any AIAG member, affiliate or any Web sites that have hypertext links to the AIAG Web site.

AIAG does not collect any personal information, including e-mail addresses, from users browsing its Web site. Users of the public areas of AIAG's Web site browse anonymously. We do log your internet provider's address to tell us which parts of our Web site you visit and how long you spend there. We do not link your internet provider's address to anything personally identifiable. The only other information automatically provided to us is the type of computer and operating system you are using. Your browser supplies us with this information. The information helps us to identify overall usage patterns and trends on the site.

Members, in order to take advantage of member-only resources, and customers are asked to register and provide some limited information. This data is submitted voluntarily. AIAG asks users to provide their name, organization name, business address, business phone, and e-mail. This information is similar to information that may be submitted to AIAG through other means, such as membership applications, conference or seminar registration, and publication orders.

AIAG collects credit card information, such as card number and card expiration date, when products are purchased from our site. Except as noted below, we will not voluntarily disclose your credit card information without your consent. Credit card data is transmitted through our secure Web server and is encrypted so no one else can read it.

If you participate in an AIAG survey, your response will be combined with the data provided by all other respondents, to be analyzed in an anonymous, aggregate format. AIAG will not use this data to communicate marketing information unless you provide your contact information and specifically respond that you wish to be contacted.

AIAG uses information voluntarily submitted by members and other customers to improve its own Web content; to respond to visitors' interests, needs and preferences; and to provide information about products and services offered by AIAG. When members and customers choose to pay using their credit card, AIAG submits the information needed to obtain payment to the appropriate clearinghouse.

AIAG may make available names and addresses of Conference attendees to exhibitors at the conference. Users may request AIAG to refrain from disclosing this data by contacting AIAG at memberinfo@aiag.org or by calling (248) 358-3003 and ask for a Customer Service Representative.

AIAG retains individual session data for a 24 hour period. This enables a user reentry to the site and the ability to continue their session within the 24 hour period. Cookies, files that contain information created by a web server that are stored on a user's hard disk, are not utilized by AIAG.

AIAG retains the right to release personal information to proper authorities when required by law or in good faith, or we believe that we must release the information in order to: (a) satisfy a legal order or comply with legal process; (b) defend the rights of AIAG; or (c) protect the personal safety of AIAG employees, agents, affiliates, business partners, customers or site users.

This site has security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control.
