SOUTHFIELD, Mich., July 28, 2014 — Through a new partnership arrangement, AIAG and Huawei Management & Consulting Company will offer International Automotive Task Force (IATF) ADP proctored assessment services for third-party auditor recertification testing starting in late August 2014. AIAG will offer proctored sessions in Shanghai in support of the IATF OEMs who need AIAG to supply this service for the automotive OEMs they support in China.

"Completing our portfolio of products and services in support of third-party auditor certification is mission critical to AIAG’s member companies and the sustainable growth of the Chinese automotive industry and supply base," says J. Scot Sharland, AIAG's executive director. "Expanding the proctored assessment footprint is the next logical next step in China and is consistent with AIAG's commitment to support the IATF’s ongoing mission of providing more robust and consistent levels of performance in third-party quality certification in this region."

Core Tools are an integral part of the third-party auditor recertification testing process. AIAG’s Core Tools training program, endorsed by quality representatives from global OEMs and tier one manufacturers, teaches principles and practices of automotive quality and earns participants certification with globally recognized credentials. Each program will cover Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), and Statistical Process Control (SPC).

AIAG has been active in China since 2006, supporting its members and the extended supply chain that have a manufacturing footprint there with new auditor certification, training, publications, and standards as well as co-sponsoring numerous industry informational & networking events.
