No Trouble Found refers to the situation where a dealer is not able to reproduce a consumer concern, or applies to a part that is removed from a vehicle and found to be “good” based on dimensional and normal functional evaluation test methods. Numerous conditions can create a NTF situation, thus making NTF one of the more difficult challenges in the warranty field.
The objective of the NTF work group is to expand the analysis of warranty returns when the initial cause is undetermined. To achieve this objective the work group is developing a training workshop that will focus on teaching a systematic approach for NO TROUBLE FOUND problem solving, including how to use the NTF Decision Tree Analysis tool featured in the AIAG Automotive Warranty Management Guideline.
