Global Working Conditions
Understanding and managing the impact of working conditions on business has become a greater challenge with the increased globalization of automotive production, and developing responsible working conditions begins with having a shared understanding of the key issues up and down the supply chain. AIAG's Global Working Conditions Initiative brings together manufacturers throughout the automotive industry to identify existing issues, explore root causes and create shared solutions, as well as deliver trainings for suppliers and OEMs at both the corporate and factory levels.

Working with Chrysler, Daimler, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Peugeot, Renault, Toyota and Volvo Car, AIAG facilitated the creation of a joint statement to provide guidance on key working conditions issues: business ethics, child labor, environmental responsibility, forced labor (including human trafficking), freedom of association, harassment and discrimination, health and safety, wages and benefits, and working hours. The statement is consistent with the industry's commitment to ensure that the individuals making vehicles and components, and providing services, are afforded responsible working conditions and are treated with dignity and respect.

Our Corporate Engagement eLearning Training will raise awareness of the business issues and impacts associated with global supply chain working conditions, share expectations and common industry guidance on working conditions elements, and promote responsible working conditions throughout the entire automotive supply chain.

Additionally, this training has been developed as an eLearning course that will help members of your company understand OEM expectations and enable dissemination of this direction throughout your procurement organization and to your suppliers. It is being provided in a flexible and convenient format at no cost to you.

The eLearning course is intended for Supply Chain Management professionals. It may also be of interest to human resources, labor affairs and legal department professionals.
