The AIAG AIDC committee has determined that there are a number of 5N DIs that appear to be non-used, and it is the desire of the committee to remove them from the 5N DI Table. To that effect, the 5N DI Table has had a new column added that indicates which 5N DIs are being considered for sunsetting by adding a sunset date (Mar 31, 2011) next to that DI. 5N DIs that have NA next to them are not being considered for removal. The AIDC committee will wait one year to sunset the DIs to allow for all AIAG members to review the list and comment as appropriate. At the conclusion of the one year wait period, those DIs that have not had a case made to keep them will be removed from the 5N DI Table. The AIDC committee has also created a Commonly Used 5N DI Table, which, along with the Legacy 5N DI Table, will be hosted at www.autoid.org. As a reminder, this email will be sent to all AIAG members once each quarter during the wait period.
