This project will develop a supplier reliability assurance process with checklists and procedures applicable to a wide array of product programs, similar to the Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) process. It will promote the implementation of THE-7 and THE-7IG across the truck and heavy equipment industries. Case studies and sample datasets from THE-7 and THE-7IG will reinforce understanding. This compliments THE-7 and THE-7IG by explicitly stating expectations of responsibility and timing. If successful, it could be used as a supplier reliability assurance package that can be evaluated by engineering, purchasing, and supply management and will increase customer-supplier relationships.
