Business Case
  • Develop and refine viable implementation of electronic messages that is straightforward to deploy, does not require wholesale change to existing systems or processes, is scalable from the largest OEM to the smallest supplier, and provides the required benefits in terms of agility and cost reduction
  • Provide a technical framework that fully supports the business processes, is implementable using current state technologies, is cost-effective to enable for all participants in the supply chain, and is market-centric i.e. already supported by the majority of technology and solution providers in the industry
  • Ensure the technical framework is not specific to a given business process, but is extensible to meet other trading partner integration needs over time
  • Encourage and assist platform and solutions providers in being proactive in implementing the process and framework identified in their respective products, minimizing 'time to deploy' lag and driving deployment
  • Facilitate the adoption of the framework by industry participants and actively promote the use of improved techniques and best practices
  • Liaise appropriately with other AIAG and external groups involved in this arena to ensure maximum synergy and cooperation
