To be competitive in a global economy, the market demands fast, accurate, and global communications. To meet these needs the electronic transmission of business process information requires standardized cross-border and cross-industry transactions. The objectives of this group are:
  • Provide the Automotive Industry conventions for EDIFACT and XML standards based on UN/CEFACT recommendations
  • Encourage the use of Automotive Industry conventions in UN/CEFACT EDIFACT and XML standards
  • Provide automotive perspective to global standards development
  • Update and publish Global JAIF Automotive guidelines for EDIFACT and XML
