The goal and objective of this Project Team is to develop standards and formats that will enable interoperability between disparate hardware, software and existing systems. The end result will a reduced product development cycle time, increased product quality and meet faster "to market" goals.

Activities within the scope of the Project Team include:

• Identifying gaps within the current standards
• Developing a "road map" to metrology interoperability from start to finish
• Harmonize and upgrade existing standards to meet the ever changing industry needs
• Developing and perform conformance and interoperability tests
• Developing consensus user requirements to provide as input to standards and specifications development
