Chemical Management and Reporting Advisory Group
This work group's goal is to commonize the OEM's restricted and reportable chemical lists and minimize the differences as it relates to levels of reportability and process for reporting. This will be done in an effort to decrease cost and confusion in the reporting process. This will result in product issues and resource savings for both the supplier base and the OEMs. This Advisory Group will design, implement and manage systems to address all regulatory and customer issues (e.g., IMDS, REACH, Green Chemistry).

This committee works under the guidance of the Health, Safety and Environmental Steering Committee. The mission of this group is to:
  • Define the global impact of emerging chemical management or product stewardship regulations on the automotive industry
  • Support the development and operation of chemical reporting processes to meet both regulatory and customer requirements
  • Interact with other automotive associations on regulatory, customer and reporting requirements
