Currently, there is no guidance document to help companies to benchmark and/or measure HSE leadership skills within their management team (CEO to line supervisors). The project is to develop a benchmark/guidance document detailing how management can effectively demonstrate the leadership skills needed to establish a foundation for HSE excellence, focusing on the key areas of 1) Participation, 2) Communication and 3) Understanding of Behavior Causation. The project will drive continuous improvement throughout the organization, and reduce HSE incidents. Work products will include a guidance document of best practices and tools (including measurement and audit), and if determined feasible, training materials for implementation of these best practices by member companies.
