Customs/Supply Chain Security Initiative
Many major auto industry OEMs and Suppliers signed up for CTPAT early in the program and are now facing the task of how to implement what is now considered to be the "risk based" mandatory parts of the guidelines. Importers and their foreign suppliers and transportation providers will need to analyze their supply chains and apply risk criteria to determine which parties in the chain or which lane is high risk and implement the appropriate security guidelines. This group is also responsible for planning the annual Customs Town Hall.
