This presentation will focus on the linkage between PFMEA and the CQI-9 heat treat standard and will clarify the requirement of part PFMEA(s) vs. family PFMEA(s) for the heat treat process.

Does your Quality Operating System work? Is compliance to standards feasible for small companies and for one-off production? Daryl Patrishkoff will present his 2003 Bi-Fuel Mustang that was designed, developed, and documented in compliance with the ISO/TS-16949 standard. Daryl's Mustang, which will be on display, achieves 470 horsepower for both fuel modes with methanol injection.

Problem Solving Panel Discussion

The Problem Solving Panel returns to the 2017 Quality Summit as a double session. This year's panel features Robert Butts (Adient), Tony Comella (SCSI), Elena Jacob (Bridgewater Interiors), Thomas Lincoln (Cooper Standard), Christopher Ottenbreit (NSK Americas), Mark Troup (Volvo Group Trucks), and Holly Zimmerman (Harley-Davidson), all members of AIAG's Problem Solving Work Group. The speakers will update attendees on the status of AIAG's CQI-20 revision project, followed by a problem solving panel discussion that will cover strategies for improving the culture of problem solving and the ongoing challenges of personnel development. Questions will be taken from the floor at the end of the session, so bring your issues with the industry's current problem solving environment for the panel to address.
