NAFTA Content Reporting

The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) provides reduced or eliminated tariffs on goods originating between the United States, Canada and Mexico when strict documentation and certification procedures are met. Developed for the automotive industry, this course addresses the NAFTA requirements that are specific to automotive products, including automotive traced values. Benefit from NAFTA and learn how to properly prepare Certificates of Origin, and understand content reporting laws, rules of origin and proof of origin requirements. Materials and sales managers, purchasing agents and buyers, finance management, and customs trade importers and exporters will benefit from practical examples and hands-on group exercises. A participant's guide and Supplier Content Reporting Workbook are provided. Materials reflect changes to the Harmonized System made by the World Customs Organization effective Jan. 1, 2007.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. Class starts at 8:00 a.m. and ends at approximately 5:00 p.m. Attendance to entire course is required to receive a Certificate of Attendance with CEUs.

Dress code is business casual. Lunch is provided.

CANCELLATION/TRANSFER/SUBSTITUTION POLICY: Registrations canceled 11 or more business days prior to the original class date will receive a full refund minus a $100 administrative fee. Registrations canceled less than 11 business days prior to the original class date, as well as NO SHOWS, will forfeit all fees. Substitutions may be made at any time. One transfer request is allowed and must be received at least 5 business days prior to the course. If paying by purchase order, all changes will require a new purchase order before being processed. All requests must be faxed to (248) 799-7995 or emailed to trainingcontact@aiag.org.

AIAG reserves the right to cancel any class due to low enrollment and/or other circumstances beyond the control of AIAG. In the event that a class is cancelled, all registered attendees will be notified no less than 10 business days before the scheduled class date. AIAG is not responsible for airfare, lodging, or other related expenses incurred on behalf of class registrants.
