On the Job With GHS eLearning
This 90-minute eLearning course provides GHS Training, addressing Hazard Communication changes in the Workplace. Students will learn about hazard communication tools, such as SDS and labels, and about what GHS is and how it will affect them in the workplace. Emphasis will be placed on interpretation of labels and label elements, including GHS symbols, signal word, hazard statements, and precautionary statements.
This course is intended to fulfill the training provisions set by the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard 29 CFR 1910.1200 that employees of manufacturers/importers must be trained on GHS by December 1, 2013.
You will have access to this training for 30 days from the date you purchase the course. Included in the training is a pre- and post-test consisting of multiple choice questions. You must get a score of 80% or higher to pass the course and receive your Certificate of Completion. You will be allowed 3 attempts to take the post-test. If, within your 30-day access to the course, you are unable to pass the exam within your 3 attempts, you will be required to register for the course again after your 30 days has elapsed.
Who Should Attend
This course is intended for individuals having little to no experience with GHS, but expected to encounter Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Labels prepared according to GHS or those would handle hazardous chemicals and/or GHS symbols and phrases in their workplace. This would include:
- Management - operations and plant managers, supervisors/shift leaders
- Staffs: logistics, laboratory chemists, maintenance, quality, training coordinators, Environmental, Health & Occupational Safety
- GHS Symbols
- Hazard Statements (H-Phrases)
- Precautionary Statements (P-Phrases)
This 90-minute eLearning course is intended for individuals having little to no experience with GHS, but expected to encounter Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Labels prepared according to GHS in their workplace.
