Using the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE)? We've got news for you!
CBP now plans to modernize ACE through an initiative called ACE 2.0. The goal of ACE 2.0 is to further CBP's ability to safeguard national and economic security, enhance data integrity, account for emerging actors and business practices, and facilitate legitimate trade.
Through the ACE 2.0 effort, CBP will add new functionality and capabilities to ACE to implement the next generation of business processes envisioned by the 21st Century Customs Framework (21 CCF) and achieve two key objectives:
1. Build on the vision of the Re-Imagined Entry Working Group, a collaboration with the trade through the Commercial Customs Operations Advisory Committee (COAC).
2. Address existing capability gaps specific to:
- Trade Facilitation
- Systems Integration/Data Sharing
- Supply Chain Transparency
- Trade Enforcement Management
- Anomalous Trade Detection
These advancements will vastly increase supply chain visibility and accountability as products make their way to the United States border. The modernized ACE 2.0 processes will enable CBP and partner government agencies to receive better quality data much earlier in the supply chain - often in near real-time from both traditional and non-traditional actors - facilitating faster government responses with earlier determinations on cargo.
With ACE 2.0 fast approaching, now's the time to ensure you're up to speed on the latest developments with our annual ACE Reporting Demonstrations led by U.S. CBP's Carlos R. Rodriguez!
Featuring Carlos R. Rodriguez from the Office of Trade at U.S. CBP, our two and a half hour demonstrations (for import and export, respectively) provide you with the skills and knowledge to navigate the ACE reporting tool and take advantage of its various features and capabilities.
Register today for our import session only, export session only, or both together (at a discounted rate), and join us on November 8 to learn more!
Note: 3 NCBFAA CREDITS PER CLASS are awarded upon completion of each class, subject to attendance verification.
