REGISTRATION IS OPEN for the AIAG Official IATF 16949 Roll-Out in Japan.
“Automotive Certification Scheme for ISO/TS 16949, Rules for Achieving and Maintaining IATF Recognition, Fourth Edition” was replaced by “ Rules for achieving and maintaining IATF recognition related to IATF 16949, 5th Edition” last November and also the QMS standard used as the audit criteria was changed to “IATF 16949” last October. Accordingly, the registered manufacturers to ISO/TS 16949:2009 have to be audited against the new QMS standard, IATF16949:2016, prior to September 14, 2018.
The change of the QMS standard is significant to make the registration scheme more effective to meet the automotive OEMs’ needs and expectations to reduce the risks of the products/parts and processes utilizing the scheme.
The presentations include: Executive summary of the registration scheme, Overview of the Rules 5th, Overview of the IATF 16949 (focused on the changes), Policies of automotive OEMs including Customer Specific Requirements, and Support available by AIAG and Plexus. Speakers will be from automotive OEM’s, IATF members and IAOB members.
In order to manage such changes, the management of the registered manufacturers need to know the intent of the changes as well as the true value of the QMS and the certification scheme. Join us for the first roll-out in Japan in 15 years.
