The objective of Rail/Haul-Away Visibility is to create an industry guideline/standard of data that will be shared between the carriers and OEM's to ensure all parties are up-to-date on the status of each vehicle which ultimately supports better management of carriers assets resulting in quicker delivery to the dealer network. Standardizing vehicle handling practices globally leads to a reduction in damage rates and the more rapid and effective transporting of vehicles, on haul away trucks, as well as rail cars and ocean carriers.
This collaboration between the OEM's and carriers will provide administrative & hard cost savings and improved efficiencies for all parties.
