This 4-day training includes individual and group exercises, quizzes and homework activities. The training does not go through the IATF 16949 standard or cover the automotive core tools in detail. It is expected that the candidates arrive with knowledge of both IATF 16949 and the automotive core tools.
Within 30-90 days following the completion of the training, candidates will be required to take their qualification exam. To pass the qualification exam, minimum scores must be achieved in each of the following five competency areas:
• Process Approach
• Core Tools and Customer Specific Requirements
• Knowledge & Application of IATF 16949
To be eligible for the program, candidates must meet the requirements of Section 4.2 in the Rules for achieving and maintaining IATF Recognition, 5th Edition and the related Sanctioned Interpretations. Candidates must also be sponsored by an IATF-contracted Certification Body.
This program applies to third-party auditor certification, not to first- or second-party auditors.
To participate in this course all candidates must work with their sponsoring CB to submit their application package to firstname.lastname@example.org . From there all communication regarding the candidate’s application will be handled between the official contact from the sponsored CB and AIAG’s third party coordinator. Additional Information for Live Virtual Students
Live virtual sessions require the participant to use a device capable of streaming content through a video conferencing platform. The participant agrees to keep their camera active at all times during the training.
