Three Days of Learning. A Community Moving Forward.
The 2026 AIAG IMDS, Product Compliance & Sustainability Conference brought automotive professionals together for three days of industry insights, collaboration, and conversations about the evolving requirements shaping product compliance and sustainability.
From IMDS developments and regulatory updates to product carbon footprints and sustainability reporting, attendees explored the challenges facing today's automotive supply chain while gaining practical insights from industry experts and peers.
And beyond the sessions, the welcoming atmosphere and opportunities to connect made an impression.
"This conference is one of the best conferences I have attended in terms of being very friendly, and everybody is trying to help you."
From conversations in the exhibit hall to exchanging ideas with fellow professionals, the conference offered opportunities to learn from one another at every stage of the IMDS journey.
Industry Knowledge. Shared Across Generations.
For many attendees, one of the most valuable experiences was connecting with professionals who bring years of industry knowledge and experience to the table.
"All the professionals that come here that have decades probably of experience, getting to talk with them, sit with them during the leadership tables, and also hearing what they have to say about stuff that directly affects my new role has been indispensable knowledge handed down."
And for first-time attendees, the opportunity to explore new topics and bring that knowledge back to their teams stood out.
"A lot of new topics are discussed here that we don't get to review or understand by ourselves. I take all that back and share with my team. This is my first time here, and definitely I want to come next year too."
That's what makes this conference more than an opportunity to stay informed. It's a place to ask questions, share experiences, and build connections that support professionals long after the event ends.
The Journey Continues in 2027
As IMDS, product compliance, and sustainability requirements continue to evolve, the need for shared knowledge and industry collaboration remains as important as ever.
In 2027, we look forward to bringing OEMs, suppliers, and industry experts together once again to explore emerging requirements, exchange practical insights, and continue the conversations shaping the future of automotive product compliance and sustainability.
