Overview

The DRBFM manual describes the basic principles and implementation of the DRBFM process and how it is integrated within the product and process development cycle. The DRBFM manual also provides descriptions and examples of the four steps of the process and their specific advantages and limitations, and guidance of how the analysis is to be carried out for the maximum benefit of the process. The purpose of the SAE J2886 document is to establish a basic understanding of DRBFM and to describe the basic principles and processes of DRBFM.
