Electronic Assembly Manufacturing-Soldering System Assessment Work Group

The AIAG Electronic Assembly Manufacturing-Soldering System Work Group is developing the next edition of the CQI-17 Electronic Assembly Manufacturing- Soldering System Assessment by adding/combining items from customer specific requirements to increase the robustness and effectiveness of CQI-17.

Focus Areas

• Incorporating and consolidating items from customer specific requirements into CQI-17 to increase supplier efficiency in meeting their customers’ requirements
• Adding new critical items to the assessment based on industry best practices to improve customer satisfaction
• Consolidating current customer specific requirements into a single document and adding best-practice-based enhancements for continual improvement, emphasizing process control, proactive defect prevention, and the reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain.
