Prioritized Auditing for IATF 16949: A Performance-Based Approach

Who should attend?

IATF 16949 Lead Auditors and IATF 16949 Internal Auditors. 

Agenda

• Demonstrate how to prioritize questioning process objectives and performance, focusing on issues that have the greatest impact on the customer.
• Identify issues and audit trails related to the organization's process for setting objectives and targets, including plans to ensure targets are met and corrective action plans when objectives and targets are not being achieved.
• Demonstrate the ability to collect, analyze, and draw accurate conclusions based on data aligned to essential competences described in the IATF Auditor Guide, 5th Edition, including:
  • Automotive Process Approach
  • Core Tools and Customer Specific Requirements (CSRs)
  • IATF 16949 requirements
  • Audit planning and on-site audit best practices for 1st and 2nd party audits (based on IATF Rules, 6th Edition requirements)
  • Nonconformity Management
• Synthesize isolated but related data in order to draw conclusions.

Requirements

Successful completion of the IATF 16949 Internal Auditor and/or IATF 16949 Lead Auditor Certification courses OR working experience with the automotive Core Tools: APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC. 

Note: In addition to the prerequisite above, this course is best taken after you've completed IATF 16949 internal and/or supplier audits to ensure you gain the greatest value from the hands-on exercises.
