Applied SPC and MSA for Practitioners

What will I learn?

• Understand where MSA and SPC fit in the hierarchy of the core tools and the larger picture of the manufacturing environment 
• Understand that MSA and SPC effectiveness are the result of a process, and a mere grasp of mathematical technique is not enough to apply them effectively.

• Interpret and Construct Individual and Moving Range Charts: Construction, Setting Limits, Analysis, Process Control 
• Interpret Process Capability: Pp, Ppk, Cp, Cpk, Analysis 
• Read Attribute Charts: Proportion Nonconforming (p) Charts and Nonconformities (c) Charts; Construction, Setting Limits, Analysis, Process Control 
• Define Measurement Systems and the Measurement Process 
• Construct failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) for your measurement process 
• Interpret and calculate Measurement Studies for Stability, Bias, and Linearity with examples 
• Interpret, perform, and calculate Measurement Studies for Repeatability and Reproducibility with examples 
• Interpret, perform, and calculate Measurement Studies for Attributes with examples 
• Relate SPC and MSA to ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 to identify how to avoid doing more work than necessary through verifying effectiveness of the studies and controls utilized
