Plastic Molding | CQI-23

The goal of the CQI-23, Special Process: Plastic Molding System Assessment, is to provide a common assessment tool for the industry resulting in reduction in variation, less warranty claims, less leaks and recalls.

Benefits of doing the assessment will allow a special process supplier to identify areas that need improvement at their special process facilities as well as improving their process capability.

These special process assessment documents, coupled with an internationally recognized quality management system and applicable customer-specific requirements, define the fundamental requirements for special process management systems.

The CQI-23 1st edition was released 2014. The CQI-23 Plastic Molding Assessment work group is meeting to update the assessment based on customer feedback and changes in the industry.
